10 Scriptures on Faith for Every Season
“Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life.” (James 1:12 MSG)
We don’t know what tomorrow will bring. You may have a normal routine, but you don’t know if everything will go as it should. God does, though. He knows what the days to come will look like and the exact details of the past.
He knows the good and bad times ahead of us. Part of His plan is to make our lives beautiful. When we’re in the middle of tough times, our lives may not look beautiful, but in God’s eyes, they are. In all seasons of life we face, God is by our side.
We cannot truly appreciate the good times in our lives without experiencing the bad times. No matter the season you’re currently in, remember, it won’t last forever. What will last forever is God’s love.
What does the Bible say about faith?
“Because you’re not yet taking God seriously,” said Jesus. “The simple truth is that if you had a mere kernel of faith, a poppy seed, say, you would tell this mountain, ‘Move!’ and it would move. There is nothing you wouldn’t be able to tackle.” (Matthew 17:20 MSG)
Faith is not a feeling. Faith is a conscious choice you make to believe in and receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It is the voice you make to believe in God. Faith can be the easiest or hardest choice you can ever make. It may feel like taking a running leap off a cliff into the unknown and be a completely terrifying moment. In all times, small faith can do big things. And in all seasons of life and your faith, God will be by your side.
What does the Bible say about seasons?
“There’s an opportune time to do things, a right time for everything on the earth:” (Ecclesiastes 3:1 MSG)
Life is made up of different seasons. Change is normal and to be expected. Times can’t all be good or all bad, even though sometimes when we’re seemingly stuck in a season, it feels like it will be that way forever. Whatever season you’re in, God has a reason. In Ecclesiastes Chapter 3, King Solomon details the seasons of life but to remember God will always be with us.
Bible verse to encourage your faith through seasons of your life:
“If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there; if you’re kicked in the gut, He’ll help you catch your breath.” (Psalm 34:18 MSG)
“I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
“Don’t panic. I’m with you. There’s no need to fear for I’m your God. I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.” (Isaiah 41:10 MSG)
“So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing Himself to the worst by sending His own Son, is there anything else He wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen?” (Romans 8:31-33)
“Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am.” (Philippians 4:13)
“Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; He won’t leave you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)
“Put God in charge of your work, then what you’ve planned will take place.” (Proverbs 16:3)
“Oh! May the God of green hope fill you up with joy, fill you up with peace, so that your believing lives, filled with the life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit, will brim over with hope!” (Romans 15:13)
“Don’t you know anything? Haven’t you been listening? God doesn’t come and go. God lasts. He’s Creator of all you can see or imagine. He doesn’t get tired out, doesn’t pause to catch His breath. And He knows everything, inside and out. He energizes those who get tired, gives fresh strength to dropouts. For even young people tire and drop out, young folk in their prime stumble and fall. But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles. They run and don’t get tired, they walk and don’t lag behind.” (Isaiah 40: 28-31)
“No matter how many times you trip them up, God-loyal people don’t stay down long; Soon they’re up on their feet, while the wicked end up flat on their faces.” (Proverbs 24:16)
