You could just show up on Sundays, attend a service and leave… but why would you want to?

Groups at Centerpoint Church

Community Groups allow us to be intentional with our faith journey by connecting and studying with others. We have a variety of groups that span life’s many stages. These are available to join during our Spring, Summer, and Fall sessions. We also have a more intensive 11-month program called Growth Groups for those who want to go deeper.

Joining my group has given me a place to belong and connect with others. The women in my group have become friends and I know they genuinely care about me, as I do them. Our group is a safe space for us to share our stories and listen to each other, knowing there is no judgement. It allows us to be open and truly get the support we need and offer support to others.

WHAT TYPES OF GROUPS ARE THERE?

A woman, facing the camera, converses with two men while standing in a semi-circle.

These meet during our three groups sessions, typically once a week. Community groups focus on connecting and studying together. Each session, our groups have a topical focus that might be explored through video series, book studies, or other means. These groups are designed to be a safe place for anyone and the topics are practical for life. Typical size is 8-15 people.

Community groups

With a higher commitment, there is a higher ceiling for growth. These 11-month-long groups meet every three weeks as they work through our Growth Groups curriculum. These are designed for people who want to be highly intentional about their development as a Jesus-follower. Growth Groups may be joined twice each year during a launch event.

What people are saying about Groups

I have a safe place to go and share my life with others. We are able to share one another’s burdens. We cry with those who cry and rejoice with those who rejoice.
The love and support I have seen has been incredible. Our current group is an and online group and though we are online, I really feel like we are so well connected. We actively check in on each other, we send texts and prayers and funny memes, we encourage and support despite not meeting in person, and we laugh A LOT during our zoom meetings. We have been incredibly blessed to do life with people we may not have otherwise known.
Being with the group and facilitating it has helped me to get real about a lot of issues. It’s impossible to speak life while hiding, covering up and avoiding my issues. We feed off of each other’s openness and truth. We are all growing at different paces but we are growing in our relationship with God, family and each other.
